SCope of Work

MTIS was contracted to manage and execute the hydrostatic, vacuum, electrical properties and destructive burst testing of the KMT CALM buoy offloading and sub-sea hoses. This was managed in two programs which included re-certification of spares and end of service life retirement assessment via destructive burst testing. All works were performed at the MTIS facility to the OEM guidelines and witnessed by Client representatives.

The re-certification of spares focused on the elastic performance and visual integrity of the hoses in both working and vacuum pressure. The end of service life destructive burst testing focused on the burst pressure capability of the primary and secondary carcass relevant to their service life and operational location.
